Luv on a Leash is a 501(c)3 non-profit, volunteer, donor-subsidized animal rescue organization based in the Twin Cities. Our top priority is to rescue dogs and cats from harmful situations and adopt them into loving furever homes. Rescued animals vary from being sick, injured, strays, and owner-surrendered as well as strays at local pounds. We give these animals a safe environment, professional medical care, support, hope and lots of LUV.
Luv on a Leash commits to helping all animals. Our dogs and cats live in foster homes where they are loved and treated like a part of the family while their foster learns about their characteristics and habits.
Additionally, we believe in the value of education pertaining to the importance of spaying and neutering. Pet overpopulation is a serious problem in our country and by sterilizing your pet, you help reduce the amount of unwanted pets in our country. Our main mission is to save lives of all animals and in doing so our highest need is to save them from local impounds. We usually deal with just local dogs and cats but sometimes when needed we reach out to others.
If you have a dog or cat that needs help, please contact us. If we can't help, we can help point you in the right direction or give you another resource. We do at times have room for owner surrenders, but most of our cats and dogs come from local pounds.

Donations are always welcomed! Without donations we can't save the lives of homeless dogs and cats! We accept monetary donations as well as supplies such as cat litter, food for cats and dogs, leashes and collars and toys!
